it's been a long time!
havent really been bothered to update blog for a while but thought would do it today!! firstly...i am so over this exam business! have had a rough deal in my opinion by having an exam on the 2nd to last day of the whole exam period as well as the week before the official period even started. not only that but everyone else, except me and laura, has finished already or finishes tomorrow. i am sick of having them hanging over me and altho i only had 2 exams and a listening test...it's been one a week and everything feels so dragged out...especially as i havent done much inbetween cos always feel i should be revising or other people are revising! some people have a full week off or more before go back to lectures...would have been able to do something or go home or something. o well. have weds afternoon til sunday off. now have found out have to read "jude the obscure" before the 1st feb instead of short poetry because the lecture order has changed last minute. i'm just looking at it now and thats a hefty book.
anyways!! hasnt been all that bad...just getting bit frustrated at having the exams and stuff STILL not finished.
me and rach from my flat decided we wanted a bit of a change from cheese and "RnB" and so went to a drum and bass night at the union last nite!! (was Dillinja and Lemon D as well as Craggz and Parallel and Phobia which means something to joe i'm sure!) we niavely didnt fully realise how hardcore it was going to be...was mighty hilarious queueing up with a load of hoody wearing/ dread locked geordies!! was a good laugh tho and we danced like loons for a change altho we could h'actually feel the sound waves!! fortunately our free ear protectors kept us sane...altho we must have looked ridiculous trying to talk to each other with those things in, both of us agreeing to what the other person had said in a smile-and-nod-i-havent-a-clue kinda way! was definately very sweaty and hardcore but a lot of fun...we both had to cark it at about 1.30am and go home as we couldnt take it any longer and definately couldnt last til 3am!! perhaps some less intense drum and bass next time!! interesting to watch the sercurity frisk a guy for his weed while me and rach were having a moment to recover in the relative quite! and then we were asked to move as security started flooding in to filter out a group of suspicious characters!! most exciting!!
