well i never...

Popped out last night for a quick and quiet drink to relax ourselves after busy day of cabin-fever inducing revision/essay writing. Who should walk in to the bar but the Newcastle Falcons rugby team...in fancy dress clearly on a end of season outting!! had a chat with Colin Charvis (well as much as you can when he had a parrot on his shoulder)...whom i recognised but he was the only one! however just Googled him now and didnt realise he was the welsh and falcons captain!! he didnt really seem too keen on the camera-so i took a picture of rach instead!! also had a hug from a slightly intoxicated scary uncle style Owen Finnigan! it pays to be spontaneous!! not to mention the fact that kevin and sam from the recently delightful tv programme shipwreaked were there altho not surprisingly surrounded by skinny screaming blondes!! what an eventful evening.

Breaks Co-op

Went to see Breaks Co-op at Carling Academy last nite...they're a band started up by Zane Lowe and another Kiwi awhile ago but now with more people...was very good actually, quite chilled but also good beats. zane wasnt there tho which was a bit annoying but never mind. Zero 7 are playing at Carling in June so will hopefully get to see them then as end of term extravaganza!!!

Bored...hot...procrastinating

Realised had been a very long time since last wrote anything and as I am finding new and innovative new ways to avoid doing any work... I thought I'd make a new post...not really sure why I bother anyways as noone really reads it, but hey if it entertains me for a while then why not!!

Just read your blog Joe and the whole 'Creationists-are-stupid' argument has been annoying me greatly for quite a while now, since it was in the uni paper, on the tele etc etc. dont know why people would much rather believe we are monkeys than we are planned by an amazing God...although right this minute i'd appreciate it if God would just uncreate wasps. there have been increasing attacks in the last few days and i have just been personally targetted by an unnaturally large one who drove me from my room. it has since been removed by the brave and helpful alice but as a result of such fear on my life i have shut the window...it is very hot in my room as is actually being summery in may.

anyhoo that's it really...had best do something productive.

Arggh m'hearties!! Flat mate Rach's birthday yesterday so in true 35D style we had a Pirate related party!! was a lot of fun and many buckaneers attended...some more Smee than Johnney Depp!! (Rach is the one with the palm tree!!)

Was feeling quite spontaneous yesterday as went for a full chop rather than usual trim!!

WELL...have just had the best night ever! got tickets to an impromtu Zane Lowe set at World Headquarters... he was brilliant, played awesome music for about 3 hours!! dead energetic and good at the old scratchy mixing stuff!! he was a top bloke too and wandered around after his set even said thanks for coming down to me...as if I wouldn't have gone! what a legend!! the guy that followed him was brilliant too and reminded me of an older fat chix!! see what you think!! Laura one of my friends who I went with...was a bona fide Zane Lowe groupie and took some brilliant if not numerous photos!! she did get a free JD and coke out of it from Chix-look-a-like tho!!

So far...

...I have had a very busy few days it feels with getting up and working everyday and never seeming to get through it all!! Have finished one essay and successfully blagged a presentation only to think about starting my next essay. shouldnt complain as not in lectures much but do feel like am constantly wading through work at the moment. Anyhoo, had a marvellous few days with petite soeur last week...we went to pictures to see Chicken Little which is h'actually hilarious!! was good just chilling out and teaching her the way of the student (in a civilised girls' flat!).
I'm currently freezing but not having any snow which is a minor frustration...aussi, dans le moment, je ecoute au 'France Culture' dans le radio a la mon ordiateur. malheursement je ne comprends pas qui ils disent!! O la la!! rubbish French but you get the jist!
